Makeblock – Arduino Air Traffic Control

Build and program your own ATC (Air Traffic Control) Radar with your Mbot from Makeblock. The Arduino-based Microcontroller. An authentic ultrasonic radar with which you can control air traffic and visualize it on the computer screen. With collision alarm!

The ideal project to do with the children at home on the weekend or at school. And learn a lot of fun things! The project is based on the challenge 3 of robotic games created by Dani Sanz.

What you will make

In this resource you will learn how to make simple ultrasonic radar with your Mbot.

What you will learn

  • Use the ultrasonic sensor.
  • Use motors.
  • Create a program with Mblock using variables and use the pen blocks to create the radar screen.
  • Physical computing.

Make the Robot:

Connect the ultrasound sensor to port 4 of the Mcore board.
Connect the motor to port M1.

Program with Mblock:

Use pen blocks to create the lines and two variables to store the distance and the sensor input data. To create the collision alarm create a button with this code.
